Annual Meeting of Members        With a Special Guest

Notice is hereby given that the annual meeting of members of THE BATTLEFORDS & DISTRICT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE will be held in-person on Tuesday, February 11th, 2025 at 11:45 a.m. for the purpose of:

1.  Ratifying all acts of the Board of Directors since the last annual meeting;
2.  Receiving the Financial Statements for the Year Ended December 31st, 2024;
3.  Appointing the public accountant;
4.  Election of a Member-at-Large to the Executive Committee;
5.  Approval of:  the 2025 Membership List; the 2025 Operating Budget, and Signing Authorities;
6.  Transacting such further and other business as may properly come before the meeting or any adjournment thereof. 
 
The Meeting will be held at the Battlefords & District Chamber of Commerce – Balych Mural Meeting Room at 11:45 a.m.  Tickets are $25.00 per person (plus taxes), which includes a luncheon meal.  Registration for attendance is required, and can be completed by calling Battlefords & District Chamber of Commerce @ (306) 445-6226, or by emailing your request to:  admin@battlefordschamber.com

Feb 11th, 2025 is also Canada Ag Day!  Join us for a special guest speaker to round out the event.  Karla Wiens is joining us from Swift Current to share her story as co-owner of Saskatchewan's first and only outdoor micro-cultivation (cannabis) operation in SW Saskatchewan, licensed by Health Canada. 
Karla has an agriculture degree from the U of S, with a major in Horticulture and Ag Economics; and she is a Certified Financial Planner (for over 25 years).  Currently, she is the CEO of the Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce (retiring end of March 2025), is an Instructor at Great Plains Collefe for the Agriculture Sciences Certificate Program, and as noted, is the co-owner, with her husband Stacey, of the facility we'll hear about today.

Quorum for the Annual Meeting of Members is a minimum of 15 members in good standing.    Join us for lunch and this annual meeting.
